To provide geotagging, real-time coordinate watermarking, compass direction rendering, and camera functionality, AiFoj-GPS Camera requests the following Android runtime permissions:
A. Location Data (Precise and Coarse)
- Permissions: ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
- Purpose: Used strictly while the camera screen is active to retrieve your current GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude, accuracy), physical address geocoding, and time data.
- How It Is Used: Stamped directly onto the captured photo or video frame and embedded into standard EXIF metadata.
- Storage & Sharing: Location data is processed locally on your device. We NEVER track your location in the background when the app is closed, nor do we transmit your location history to external servers.
B. Camera & Microphone
- Permissions: CAMERA, RECORD_AUDIO
- Purpose: Required to capture photos and record videos with GPS information. Microphone permission is utilized only when you record videos with sound.
- Privacy: We never capture media without your explicit action (tapping the shutter button). All media files are saved directly to your local device storage.
C. Device Sensors (Compass & Orientation)
- Sensors: Magnetic field sensor (compass) and accelerometer.
- Purpose: Used in real-time to calculate your camera heading orientation (North, South, East, West, azimuth degrees) to display direction overlays and imprint compass stamps.
- Privacy: Sensor data is processed in volatile device memory and is never transmitted externally.
D. Photos, Videos & Storage Access
- Permissions: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, or Scoped Storage.
- Purpose: Allows the app to save stamped photos and videos to your chosen storage destination (GPS Gallery, Phone Gallery, or Both) and display captured items in the in-app GPS Gallery.
3. Third-Party Services and Advertising
AiFoj-GPS Camera integrates trusted third-party SDKs to facilitate advertising, location services, and in-app purchases:
A. Google AdMob (Mobile Ads SDK)
- Free versions of the application display ads provided by Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads).
- Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), general device data, and network connection info to serve advertisements, prevent fraudulent clicks, and monitor performance.

5. Data Retention, Sharing & Security
- No Remote Storage: We do not operate external servers that upload or archive your photos, videos, or GPS coordinates. Everything remains strictly on your device.
- No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or media to data brokers, advertisers, or third parties.
- User Control & Deletion: All photos and videos can be permanently deleted by you at any time through the in-app gallery or your phone's file manager.
6. Children's Privacy
